Our Christmas Living Room Tour (2016)
Hey, friends! I've had so much fun decorating for the holidays this yr. I gave myself permission to have information technology slow rather than effort to rush and do it all in i weekend. I've spent the by month moving decor effectually and calculation things here and in that location every bit inspiration strikes. (Have I told yous how much I LOVE decorating? ?)
If I was a perfect abode decor blogger, I would accept finished decorating over a month ago and shared information technology with yous waaaay before Christmas. Instead, I'g finally finished and sharing it with you the week of Christmas. Sad for holding out on you until today, merely I was having fun and enjoying the procedure. It'due south so dainty to slow downwardly sometimes.
I finally finished things up and packed abroad the boxes of actress decor terminal week, so I decided to take some photos over the weekend while the living room was all tidied up. I've already shared the Christmas tree and picture ledge with you, but today yous finally become to see the entire room!
Enjoy today's tour of my Christmas living room!
When you walk in our forepart door, you come directly into the living room and see our couch first. I honey having this picture ledge to a higher place the couch because it makes information technology piece of cake to create an eye-catching gallery wall for every season. I shared details about this Christmas picture ledge here.
I also picked up a couple grayness sweater pillow covers at Hobby Lobby to add some wintertime coziness to the couch.
I hung a wreath in a higher place this end table and created a wintry vignette on the table. I added a vase of pinecones and placed a couple copper cookie cutters (thrift shop finds) in a pocket-size bowl.
Here's a look at the wall to the right of our front end door. We don't really accept an entryway, so this is our driblet zone. We've lived in this house for two years now, and I've still been trying to come with something to fill the wall above this bench.
I took a stab at creating a Christmas gallery wall. Hither's what I came up with: Wreath + stockings + cheap cookie plate + framed wrapping paper & fabric = a beautiful Christmas gallery wall. Encounter how I used a wreath to frame the thermostat?
Aren't these aureate deer so sweet? They're tea light holders! I bought them final year and had forgotten all about them until I unpacked my decor. I gave them a prime spot adjacent to a container filled with greenery, pine cones and ornaments.
Now let'southward turn around and look at the other side of the room. I institute a huge corporeality of that carmine checked fleece fabric at a thrift store (score!) and cut it into a few "blankets." There'southward i on the rocking chair and another on the back of the entry demote. Not a true blanket, but I retrieve it however looks super cute! I besides used pieces of that cloth in picture frames and for some DIY ornaments.
I switched up this little wall by bringing in the gray bench that I DIYed for our chamber before this year. The neutral gray with gold dipped legs feels wintry to me, especially with a couple textured pillows and lantern on top.
Now, if only I'd get around to painting that pino closet door black like I did in the bathroom. Won't that look awesome when information technology's finally painted?
Our Christmas tree is over in the corner of the living room. I shared all nigh how I transformed this sometime, worn out tree here.
Here's a look at it all lit up at nighttime! ?
If you missed these fabric-covered ornaments that I shared a few weeks ago, they were super easy (and thrifty!) to make!
The top of my cedar breast is always fun to decorate. I used the newspaper boxwood wreath I made last year, along with some ornaments and physical candlesticks.
I just love little jingle bells! I displayed some in a small bowl in this tray.
Here'due south a closer look at the flick ledge above the couch.
Since we have a big black leather couch, I try to soften it and add some colour/pattern through lots of throw pillows and a blanket draped across the back.
And that wraps up this twelvemonth's Christmas living room tour. Cheers for stopping by! I hope your family unit has a blessed Christmas this weekend.
Merry Christmas,
